On Sunday, the 2018 Super Bowl matchup was finally set when the New England Patriots defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game and the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game.

Both teams will meet at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota on February 4 to determine the Super Bowl champion. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM. ET.

2018 Super Bowl Betting Preview

Philadelphia Eagles +5 Point Underdogs

The Eagles went into their second consecutive playoff game as home underdogs, and convincingly defeated the Vikings 38-7 to book their ticket to the Super Bowl. In two weeks, they are once again going to be underdogs, which is a role the team and their fans have come to embrace.

Nick Foles, who was the reason the Eagles weren’t getting a lot of love from the oddsmakers, had another great game as he led the Eagles to victory over the Vikings. Foles completed 26 of 33 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns.

The Eagles defense also stepped up, returning an interception for a touchdown and harassing Case Keenum during the entire game, not allowing him to get comfortable in the pocket.

They will be hoping for a similar performance against the Patriots.

New England Patriots Analysis -5 Point Favorites

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots proved on Sunday that they should never be counted out of games no matter how bad they look.

The team fell behind early against the aggressive Jacksonville Jaguars but fought their way back into the game and were able to take the lead in the final minutes of the game. This game once again showed that it’s never too late to bet on the Patriots at any point in the game even if they are down by 10 points. If you want to bet in advance of the start of the game you can bet on the 2018 Super Bowl at any of these sportsbooks that accept US players.

Brady, who was dealing with an injured throwing hand, completed 26 of 38 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns. Brady’s numbers were even more impressive because he did it without Rob Gronkowski, who left the game early with a head injury.

Defensively, the Patriots did a good job shutting down Jacksonville’s run game, especially in the second half, which allowed them to come back and win. The defense will need to play better against the Eagles, who are more dangerous on offense than the Jags were.

Super Bowl 52 Online Betting Picks and Predictions

The Patriots are favored to win the Super Bowl by 5.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 47.5.

With all the success they have had in the past, it is hard to bet against the Patriots in the Super Bowl, but I think the Eagles have what it takes to pull off the upset. Take Philadelphia +5.5 if you have any plans to bet on Super Bowl 2018.
