After getting sacked 38 times. Giants decided to focus on protecting their quarterback and used the number four overall pick on former Georgia left tackle Andrew Thomas. They also drafted former Connecticut tackle Matt Peart and former Oregon offensive lineman Shane Lemieux in the third and fifth rounds respectively.

The Giants also struggled defensively last season, giving up 28.2 points per game. They managed to get a first round talent when they selected former Alabama safety Xavier McKinney in the second round.

With the team still having many holes to fill before they can be considered contenders, oddsmakers give the Giants +12500 odds to win the Super Bowl.

The Giants have some nice young talent on their team. They are still a few key players and a couple of years before they can be considered legitimate contenders. Sounds about right. Even if they play better this year. They will still be competing with Washington for the third spot in the division.
