Eddie Jackson Believes Chicago Bears Are The Team To Beat
The Chicago Bears surprised a lot of people last season when they finished with a 12-4 record, which was the second best record in the league. However, the team was unable to make a Super Bowl run after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card game.
This season safety Eddie Jackson believes the Bears are going to be better than they were last season, and added that the team will win it all this year.
“Everything — how short, and how far, we came,” Jackson told the Chicago Sun Times’ Patrick Finley when asked what will keep him motivated through the summer respite. “From the losing record to the winning record. How short we came, with the first-round playoff game with the field goal. Right now we just want to build off everything and let that be the fuel to our fire. We plan on taking this whole thing.”
Eddie Jackson also said that the Bears are going to use last year’s playoff loss as motivation because it was a game they would have won if their kicker hadn’t missed the game-winning field goal at the end of the game.

“The vibe is there,” Jackson said. “That will always be there. That’s not changing. You come in and you see everybody on one page, and [they] want to get things done and want to win. That will always be a great vibe.”
Jackson, who made the Pro Bowl and was also an All-Pro in his second year in the league, expects to be better than he was last season after spending the offseason watching film and getting into the best shape of his career.
“Come back and still watch film and stay on top of everything,” he said. “Just take care of your body. Relax a little bit. Don’t lose that taste for football.”
Even though Eddie Jackson is confident about his team’s chances, they will still need to get out of the NFC North, which will be tougher this season with the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings improving their roster this offseason.
