The Los Angeles Chargers, or LA Chargers, started out the season with one of the worst odds to win the 2018 Super Bowl because they weren’t expected to make the playoffs thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos being in their division.

Rivers has thrown for 3,611 yards, 23 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. His success can also be attributed to the Chargers finally having a consistent running game with Melvin Gordon poised to have his first 1,000 yard rushing season.

Keenan Allen, who missed most of last season has also been healthy this year, making life easier for Rivers, who didn’t have a lot of receiving options after Allen got hurt last year.

The fact that the Chargers are also good defensively makes them a legitimate contender as they are allowing opponents to score 17.3 points per game, which is the second best scoring defense in the league.
