Detroit Lions Superbowl Odds

The Detroit Lions are currently second in the NFC North, but find themselves in seventh position in the NFC playoff race.

The Lions, who currently have +10000 to win the Super Bowl, have a very good chance of making the playoffs for the second consecutive year if they win out because the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints, who are all ahead of them in the playoff standings, still have division games against each other, which means at least one of them will lose a game before the season ends.

Despite the three teams ahead of them likely losing at least one game, Detroit’s road to the playoffs won’t be an easy one. They will play the Cincinnati Bengals this week, and the Bengals would love nothing more than to help eliminate a team from playoff contention.

After their game against the Bengals, the Lions have a home date with the Green Bay Packers in their season finale.

In their first game against the Packers, Aaron Rodgers didn’t play because he was recovering from shoulder surgery. This time around, Rodgers will be available, which means the Lions will have to work very hard to get the win over their division rivals.

If Detroit can win their last two games, they should be able to get in to the playoffs. If they get in as the final seed, they will have to win on the road to get to the Super Bowl, but with the Philadelphia Eagles without their starting quarterback and the Los Angeles Rams making their playoff debut after a decade of mediocrity, the Lions have as good a chance as any NFC team to make it to the Super Bowl.

However, if they intend to win the Super Bowl, they will need Matthew Stafford to be at his best and a little help from their running game.
